What Salt Loft taught me, and how Sol-Té reflects the next chapter of my journey.
When I first started this journey, Salt Loft felt like the perfect name. It carried a sense of calm and creativity that aligned with where I was and the work I wanted to share with the world. For the first year, it held space for my growth and allowed me to step into this new chapter as a designer.
But as time went on, I began to notice something shifting in me—not just in my creative work, but in my heart. For months, I struggled to push Salt Loft forward. Every time I thought about growing it or making it more visible, I felt resistance I couldn’t fully explain.
It wasn’t until I began working with an incredible therapist that I started to understand why. Together, we worked through years of anger, resentment, and heaviness—feelings I hadn’t realized were shaping the way I moved through life and business. Slowly, as I released what I had been holding onto, I felt lighter. Freer. More open to the possibilities ahead of me.
That’s when I knew it was time for something new. A name that felt deeply connected to this season of growth and healing. A name with meaning—one that carried the sense of clarity and freedom I had worked so hard to find.
That’s when Sol-Té began to take shape.
What Sol-Té Means
Sol-Té comes from the Spanish word soltar, meaning “to let go.” The name holds so much of what this new chapter represents for me: release, clarity, and the freedom to step fully into something that feels aligned with my heart and my work.
As I’ve stepped into this transition, I’ve begun laying the foundation in purchasing the domain, exploring new ideas, and gently shifting my business from one name to the other. Every part of this process has been thoughtful and intentional, allowing me to create space for what feels true to me now.
Sol-Té reflects growth. It reflects the kind of spaces I want to design for my clients, calm, open, and deeply connected to who they are.
